Our Academic Experience

We develop healthy leaders academically through your mind for truth.

  • This involves earning a fully accredited degree through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
  • This also involves developing your understanding and expertise in your chosen field of study.  Your professors have the experience and knowledge in your chosen field and will be a great resource and mentor to you during your time here.
  • And this also involves developing your understanding of our biblical worldview.  Since the Bible is the foundation for truth, discovering its timeless principles for believing and living is so essential.

Our Practicum Experience

We develop healthy leaders professionally through your hands of worship. Because everything we do is an act of worship, how you live out God’s call in your career is essential to your growth here.  And because of this, your practicum coaches will be giving you the hands-on experience and mentorship to develop your work ethic and the skills that you will need to be competitive in the workplace.  Here are some of our current track options:
SEU Track
This track offers the student the opportunity to work alongside SEU Ocala’s staff.  In this track, students will be actively involved with the planning and execution of college life, student experience, marketing, enrollment, and other areas of SEU Ocala.  The goal of this track is to help the student develop into a holistic leader who is able to meet the growing demands of a vocational role.  Upon the satisfactory completion of a semester in this track, students will have the opportunity to intern in a desired specified location of their choosing.
Next Generation Track
The Next Generation Track provides experience for all aspects of Next Generation ministry.  In this track, you will learn how to pastor students, plan services, preach, counsel, evangelize and lead teams.  Each week students will have the opportunity to impact kids, students, and young adults in different church environments.
Next Steps Track
The Next Steps Track takes people where they are as they come forward to receive Jesus to where God wants them to be by helping them to become part of the body of Christ.  In this track, you will learn how to disciple others well and to lead them into the next steps of the calling that God has for their lives.
Worship Track
The Worship Track allows musically inclined students to minister to people through the use of their gifts.  In this track students will learn to hone their skills as vocalists and musicians.  Students will be provided with the opportunity to grow and nurture their talents through sessions in music theory, song writing, leading a band, pastoring a worship team, and more.
Missions Track
Missions Track allows students to develop and discover exactly what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus by fulfilling the Great Commission in our local community and beyond.  In this track, students will work with their practicum mentor to develop and design, plan and implement, and evaluate ministry initiatives through domestic and/or foreign missions endeavors.
