To develop healthy leaders academically, spiritually, and professionally within a life-giving community.

Our mission statement of SEU Ocala is to
develop healthy leaders....

Academically through your mind for truth
This involves developing your understanding and expertise in your chosen field of study.  Your professors have the experience and knowledge in your chosen field and will be a great resource and mentor to you during your time here.  But this also involves developing your understanding of our biblical worldview.  Since the Bible is the foundation for truth, discovering its timeless principles for believing and living is so essential.  And this also involves developing your ability to think critically and apply your field of study and your biblical worldview to the challenges that our world faces today.
Spiritually through your heart for God
Taking that next step into God‘s call for your life, also involves taking the next step in your relationship with him.  In this way, the more you know, the more you grow.  We cannot wait to see how you will encounter God‘s power and presence in your life through chapel, small groups, retreats, and conferences designed to draw you closer to Jesus!
Professionally through your hands of worship
Because everything we do is an act of worship, how you live out God’s call in your career is essential to your growth here.  Because of this, your practicum coaches will be giving you the hands-on experience and mentorship to develop your work ethic and the skills that you will need to be competitive in the workplace.
Within a life-giving community.
We are not just better together, but it’s the way that God has designed you to grow through family, friends, and your church community.  But really, we just can’t wait for you to experience student life this year so that you look back on how SEU Ocala was the best part of your year!

Our vision and mission are grounded on a foundation of five core values:

Family
We are not just better together, but it’s the way that God has designed you to grow through family, friends, and your church community.
Excellence
We do our best until we can do better.  This means that perfection is not the goal; discipline is.  Practicing the spiritual disciplines is the pathway to excellence.
Authenticity
We want you to be fully you, full of God.  We want you to grow into who God designed and created you to be.
Biblical Truth
We know that the Bible is the foundation for truth.  Discovering its timeless principles for believing and living is so essential to how we face the challenges of our world today.
Servant Leadership
We follow the leadership example of Jesus who humbled himself and made himself a servant in order to change the world forever (Philippians 2:5-11).
